What is the difference between acrylic and fiberglass?

Acrylic vs Fiberglass

Acrylic is a non-porous material that soap, dirt,
and chemicals won't stick to.
Cultured marble and fiberglass are
porous, allowing soap, chemicals, etc.,
to cling to them, producing unsightly films
and stains on the tub's surface.
Acrylic comes in a variety of colors which
allow exact matches of Kohler,
American Standard, etc. plumbing ware.
With an acrylic tub you are also assured of a rich,
deep, lasting color - color that runs all the way through
the acrylic, unlike fiberglass and cultured
marble products that have thin veneer finishes.
An acrylic tub is a lot more resistant
to chipping and cracking than a fiberglass tub.
